Cutta

Privacy policy

Effective 17 October 2026

This policy explains what the Cutta app ("Cutta", "we", "us") does with information when you use it. The short version: what you film and make stays on your phone. We don't run ads, we don't track you, and we don't sell anything about you.

What stays on your phone

Everything you create with Cutta is stored only on your device:

None of this is uploaded to us or to anyone else. Deleting a project, or uninstalling Cutta, removes it from the app.

Permissions Cutta asks for

You can withdraw any permission in your phone's settings at any time; the parts of Cutta that need it will stop working until you allow it again.

Gift codes

If you unlock Cutta with a gift code, the app checks the code with our code service, which runs on Google Firebase. To do that it signs in anonymously - with a random identifier, no name, email or phone number - and marks the code as used by that identifier, so a code can only unlock one phone. Nothing else about you or your phone is sent.

Purchases

Buying the full version is handled by Google Play (and, on iPhone, the App Store). We never see your payment details. We only learn from the store that the purchase was made, so the app can unlock.

What we don't do

Children

Cutta isn't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update it on this page and change the date at the top.
